
Stampede Name Golliday Head Coach
CAHOKIA HEIGHTS, IL-- As the St. Louis Stampede continues preparation for the 2023 season, the organization is proud to announce Antwyne Golliday Jr. as Head Football Coach.
Coach Golliday Jr. brings a wealth of experience to the position, having been Head Coach of the Missouri Cyclones for the past three seasons. Leading the organization to league championships in each season as Head Coach.
Prior to being named head coach of the Cyclones, Coach Golliday Jr. spent two seasons as a defensive coordinator and several seasons as an assistant football coach at the high school level.
Football runs deep in the Golliday family as Coach Golliday is the son of legendary St. Louis area high school football Coach Antywan Golliday Sr., Coach Golliday Sr. was elected to the Illinois High School Athletics Hall of Fame and the St. Louis Metropolitan Sports Hall of Fame.
Coach Golliday Jr. will lead the Cyclones in their attempt for a fourth consecutive league championship this Saturday in Daytona Beach, Florida, in a league championship game. Due to these obligations, the Stampede have rescheduled the team's open player tryout for Saturday to Saturday, February 4th, in St. Louis. The Stampede will compete in their first action season in the United Football League (UFL) this spring. The organization will play nine home games at the new Stampede Stadium to be built at 4300 Church Road in Cahokia Heights. Stampede Season Tickets are currently on sale, with prices starting at $200.
